Join our team as an Infrastructure Support Engineer and deliver world-class services to major clients, supporting Bede’s applications, platforms, and Azure infrastructure. This role offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals and enhance your skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will receive a shift premium from day one, although the transition to the night shift pattern will only occur after successfully completing a three-month probation period. Night shifts are structured as four consecutive work nights from 22:00 to 08:00, followed by four days off, attracting a 36% shift allowance. What you'll be doing

  • Manage and support Bede’s infrastructure and microservices within a Kubernetes/AKS containerised environment.
  • Monitor infrastructure using the Observability Stack to respond to alerts and resolve issues using tools like Prometheus and Elastalert.
  • Design and maintain effective monitoring, measuring, and alerting configurations with Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Ensure timely progression and resolution of incidents within service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate across teams to troubleshoot and resolve escalated production issues.
  • Proactively identify and address potential infrastructure issues before they escalate.
  • Document changes and solutions to enhance future issue resolution.
  • Assist engineering teams with the support and rollout of existing and new Bede products.
  • Train and support new team members.
  • Communicate with vendors and customers as needed.

What we are looking for

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in 2nd or 3rd line support roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux Administration, including troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server environments.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack fundamentals.
  • Experience with cloud services (Azure/AWS) and basic networking principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems effectively.
  • Proficiency in source control, SQL/NoSQL, and REST API basics.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.


Desirable Skills:

  • Advanced Kubernetes troubleshooting and administration.
  • Knowledge of TLS, CI/CD practices, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Argo.
  • ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
