Automation QA Engineer

We’re looking for an Automation QA Engineer to help ensure the quality and reliability of the Bede platform as we scale and evolve. In this role, you’ll play a hands-on part in designing and executing automated tests for new features, while maintaining and improving our existing test frameworks. You’ll be working with the latest tools and technologies in a fast-moving environment where quality is critical and innovation is encouraged. 

This is a hybrid role that requires you to be in our Sofia office two days a week. Please apply only if you’re comfortable with this arrangement. 

What you'll be doing

• Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using modern tools and frameworks
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and apply the right testing strategies
• Identifying opportunities to expand test coverage through smart automation solutions and frameworks
• Running regression testing to ensure new features don’t break existing functionality
• Investigating test failures, conducting root cause analysis, and working with developers to drive quick resolutions
• Creating and managing test data, environments, and test harnesses for robust automation workflows
• Monitoring and analysing test results, tracking quality metrics, and reporting on release health to stakeholders
• Proactively contributing to process improvement discussions and evolving our QA practices
• Staying current with industry trends and tools in software testing and sharing knowledge with the wider QA team

What we are looking for

We’re after a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer who combines strong technical skills with a passion for quality and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is confident in automation, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is excited to help us deliver exceptional software.

You’ll bring:

• Proficiency in C# with experience building robust, scalable test scripts
• Strong grounding in software testing principles, including data validation and functionality verification
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear, effective test cases
• Hands-on experience with version control systems such as Git
• Confidence working with APIs and databases for both testing and validation
• A continuous improvement mindset with a track record of driving process enhancements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a sharp eye for detail
• Strong communicator—able to clearly articulate issues, expectations, and insights across teams
• Adaptability to evolving tools and technologies in test automation and QA
• A team player who’s equally comfortable working independently
• A self-starter who takes ownership and drives tasks through to completion
• Great at managing priorities and time in a fast-paced environment
